FREMONT, Ohio — Aaron Jones, a U.S. Army veteran, factory supervisor, and Tiffin City Councilman, has officially filed his paperwork to appear on the ballot for Ohio House District 88, which includes all of Seneca and Sandusky counties.

Jones, a Democrat, said filing his petitions marks an important milestone for a campaign focused on lowering costs for working families, creating good-paying jobs, strengthening public schools, and investing in local infrastructure.

“Today makes this campaign official, but the reason I’m running hasn’t changed,” Jones said. “Families in Seneca and Sandusky counties deserve leadership that puts their priorities first — lower costs, good jobs, strong schools, and practical solutions that actually help our communities.”

Jones has spent more than 20 years working on the factory floor at Toledo Molding & Die and currently serves on Tiffin City Council. He said his experience outside of politics shapes his approach to public service.

“I know what it’s like when paychecks don’t keep up with rising costs, and when decisions made in Columbus don’t reflect what people here are dealing with every day,” Jones said. “I’m running to be a voice for working families and to make sure our communities aren’t left paying the price for broken policies.”

The general election will be held in November.
